The first 48 hours
Mild sensitivity to hot and cold is normal and usually fades within a few days.
Choose soft foods and avoid very hot drinks for the first day.
Your bite may feel different at first. Tell the dental team before you fly if anything feels high.
Eating and drinking
Avoid biting directly into very hard foods such as ice, bones or hard candy.
Cut crunchy foods such as apples and baguettes into smaller pieces.
Porcelain resists staining, but rinse after coffee, tea or red wine to protect the edges.
Daily cleaning
Brush twice a day with a soft brush and non-abrasive toothpaste.
Clean between teeth daily with floss or interdental brushes.
Use an alcohol-free mouthwash if one is recommended.
Flying home after veneers
Most patients can fly the day after their final fitting. Planning one to two extra days in Bangkok after your final appointment gives the team time to check your bite and gums.
Protecting your veneers
Wear a night guard if you grind or clench your teeth.
Use a sports guard for contact sports.
Never use your teeth to open packaging or bottles.
Long-term check-ups
Keep up with professional check-ups and cleaning at home every six months. Your dentist will give advice specific to your bite and treatment, and following it supports the longevity and appearance of your smile.
